Sikat's story, Tata Selo, a peasant murdered his oppressive landlord, and an investigation of the crime reveals that he killed not only to protest his eviction from the land he has been tilling but mainly to avenge the dishonor the landlord had brought upon his family by sexually violating his teenage daughter who worked as a maidservant in the landlord’s home. I feel pity to Tata Selo, Yes! he murdered someone but in valid reason. I feel sad knowing that poor people deprived of human rights. Sadly, the reality of life in some cases is horrifying. I feel sorry for Tata Selo for encountering brutalities such as being physically ambushed, defending himself knowing that his precious daughter is a victim of sexual abuse and his land taken from him because of poverty.
